Oligomaster's movement for Circular Vinyl Technologies has been spearheading vinyl sustainability in the North American market. Flexible PVC composite waste: tarpaulins, coated technical textiles, flexible membranes, vinyl flooring, has long been the recycling industry's problem without a solution. Mechanical recycling cannot separate it. The result: landfill or incineration. Oligomaster, supported by a Vinyl Institute VIABILITY grant, and in partnering with Polyloop to deploy a fundamentally different approach: modular dissolution recycling, brought directly to the point of waste generation. Polyloop's STRAP (Solvent-Targeted Recovery and Precipitation) process selectively dissolves PVC from composite waste without breaking polymer chains, recovering the material at close to virgin quality, ready to re-enter the same production stream it came from. The system is designed as a compact, plug-and-play modular unit installed inside your existing facility. Outputs include high-purity dry-blend PVC compound, polyester fibers recovered intact from composite substrates, and separated additives, all as market-ready secondary raw materials.
